MISHAEGEN

The first time we find the name Mishaegen on record is in 1432 when it was property of Ijsman Vlinckenborgh. The domain changes hands several times throughout history. The banker Charles de Proli buys the estate in 1769 and builds the castle we still can admire now. He sells the estate in 1796 to Jean Baptiste Gyot and his wife Fransisca Josepha Peeters d'Aertselaer. The family keeps the castle until three years ago when they sell it to Peter and Mathé Heeren. The castle is currently under restoration. You can view it from the public road.
