High on a hill overlooking the valley you find the medieval stronghold of Ansembourg. The property dats back to 1135 when it was owned by Hubert d'Ansembourg. Severla heirs in the d'Ansembourg line made alterations throught the decades. The main entrance bears the date of 1565. The castle was damaged by the French troops in 1683. Repairs where done by Thomas Bidart and Marchant d'Ansembourg. The first mentioned also built the new castle.
Today the castle is owned by Count Gaston-GaŽtan de Marchant d'Ansembourg who inherited the castle from his father. The castle can not be visited.
