HOF TER KRUISEN

The small renaissance castle Hof Ter Kruisen dates back to the middle of the 16th century. It was built by a rich family as a outhouse for weekends and holidays. The castle is erected in bricks and has a moat. It was owned by the Bavieres family until the middle of the 17th century. The Bavieres was an important family who seated in the Flemish council. The castle is situated in Kaprijke it is private property but can be viewed from the public road.
