VAL D'OR

The keep of Ocquier dates back to the year 1090. It was burned down by the Spanish troops in 1653. It was rebuilt immediate and integrated into a bigger castle. In 1727 it was enlarged again by thr Barons de Tornaco. The domain stays in the hands of the Tornaco family until 1946. The decaying estate was bought by Valdor France who gave it its current name. His son turned the castle into a restaurant where you still can have a meal and there are also a few hotel rooms in the old inn
