WAILLET

This castle is since the middle of the 17th century property of the Van der Straaeten family. Before this family the property belonged to the abbey of Stavelot – Malmédy. As you can see from the anchors on the wall the current building dates back to the year 1548. It used to have two towers and a moat but they have disappeared throughout the centuries. The castle beautifully planted between meadows and trees can be viewed from the public road.
